Still working my way through my #Egypt photos. This is one of my absolute favourite shots. It was the Light and Sound show in the #Karnak temple and we had the incredible luck to have a full moon shining down on us as an addition to the light show. It was utterly stunning and breathtaking to walk through the smartly illuminated temple. We had the last show of the evening and were only 30 people instead of three thousand. It was incredible beautiful.

Vertical colour photo. It's night and we're standing in darkness between the giant columns, looking ahead to a path between them. The darkness gets interrupted by bright floodlights hidden behind the last two columns. They're throwing bright lights, illuminating two high columns on each side in a soft orange light and creating a criss cross shadow pattern on the ground. The light beams don't reach us. In the far back are a single obelisk and a broken wall getting hit by indirect light. Between the obelisk in the back and the column near us the bright glowing disk of the moon hangs low in the sky like a blue whisp hovering in the temple ruins. The rest of the visible sky is pitch black. The contrast between the orange sand stone or lime stone and the glowing blue moon creates a fascinating visual.

We're out for walkies :kirby_walk: again. 😊 The weather is nice enough, with a lovely waning 🌖 moon...

I did my best at the gym, as much as my leg allowed. I rode 35 minutes and then enjoyed the massage chair for ten. I was earlier, so it was busier. Which wasn't too good, but my music and phone helped to distract me. 😊

Today should be a decent enough day. I need to finish my journal post, but that's almost done already. I wanna build the laptop table that I bought yesterday. And I want to change the curtains in the bedroom. The old curtains will need a wash, and then I hope that I can make a friend happy with them...

I need some groceries today, and I'll have my PT. I can discuss the upcoming surgery then. And, hopefully, my PT will know something that could help my annoying elbow...

If the weather will allow, and if Arwen is interested, I'd like to take her to the Herperduin again. I know she really loves it... :flying_hearts: it's such a joy to watch her have a good time there.

Let's see if I can write a bit for my blog now... Hope you've all had a good start of the new week! :darkmodeparrot:

Midnight Monsters: A Startled Moontinkifer
Do not be afraid. Like many night creatures, they just wish to be left alone. These secretive beings often hide in the shadows, except when the moon is full and bright. The midnight moon is their time of wonder and if you happen to be in the right place at the right time, you just may witness some magical happenings. This particular midnight monster is called Moontinkifer and can be found high up in the Balkan mountain range on the border between Bulgaria and eastern Serbia . It was not easy getting to this destination, but I have found it worth the effort, expense and skinned knees. Legend says that if one is lucky enough to spot them during the day, they appear as drab, colorless creatures, almost invisible against the mountain landscape of rocks and boulders. They shine (literally) at night when they come out of their hiding places to dance. Moonlight causes a shimmering transformation from dull gray to a luminous rainbow colored glow! It is believed that the glimmer of incandescent color and magical movements is their way of attracting a mate. Otherwise, they appear to be quite shy, non-aggressive individuals, who unfortunately, startle easily.

We're out again. :kirby_walk: Arwen is going slowly, so we're taking our time. There's no hurry, although sometimes I do need to move a bit... :ablobcatangel:

Today should hopefully be a decent day... Depending on the weather and Arwen, I may take hee to the Herperduin again this morning. There is a beautiful moon again tonight, so I tried to capture her again...
