Early morning just before sunrise at a vast wetland. A grey fog is rising above the reeds and marsh grasses. Colors from the coming sunrise fill the sky and illuminate the landscape, where barren trees stand as shadowy silhouettes. All casting reflections upon the waterway below where round ripples expand across the surface from a fish who jumped up then back into the water.

Black and white photograph of a forest of leafless birches and evergreens on one side of a hill, with snow on the forest floor and low fog right in the middle. A light spiral filter was applied on the picture, creating a torsion in the fog and bending some trees.

I've been looking at this picture for weeks, unsatisfied and not knowing what I would do with it. I woke up too early this morning, feeling like reality is distorted and bent under human will. This picture is still real but has something wrong, like it might break.
