Baby Monsters: Monsters have babies too.
Baby monsters are even harder to find than the elusive "baby" pigeon. Very few folks can say that they've seen them, let alone created their portraits. I have been lucky. As you might imagine, monster parents can be a bit protective. Mothers in particular. They consider us (humans) more than a bit strange and potentially dangerous. It took most of my free time, lots of monster "treats" and carefully followed Monster Etiquette to befriend just a few of them. Even then, I felt a bit nervous and on edge as I made sketches of their most beloved offspring. It is always a good idea to remind oneself that monsters are ultimately unpredictable creatures, and should be given proper respect at all times.

This teeny, weeny baby is about the size of a large acorn. I found her around twilight, huddled on the forest floor, hiding amongst the fallen leaves and acorns, waiting for her mom to return with dinner. I kept my distance while I hastily made her portrait, knowing that she was somewhere close by. The last thing I wanted to do was make this sweet baby anxious.

INNER MONSTERS
Inner Monsters don't necessarily look like "real" monsters. They are part of that constant chatter going on in the background of our own minds, shaping our view of the world. They can appear in a variety of forms, from human, animal, monster-like, even as plants! Most of us... ahem... keep our inner beasties tucked "safely" in the closet, hoping they won't decide to reveal themselves at inopportune times, causing all manner of embarrassing moments, like sudden extreme shyness, unexplained crying jags, overwhelming crankiness, or laughing out loud for no apparent reason, among others. Sound familiar?
The solution is (drum roll please...) to MEET your inner monsters, SEEK to understand them, EMBRACE them as yours, and then LEARN about yourself through them. Bring them out of your personal inner-verse and set them free!

Bashful Monster in a Teacup
Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy a spot of tea now and again. Little monsters have been know to slip quietly into kitchens when no one is around and sneak a sip or two of freshly brewed sweetness. Alas, some of these tiny creatures may become so enamored with the tea, that they sip themselves silly and fall into a state of euphoria, causing all manner of behavior.

:chick_artist: If you're an artist that draws on a tablet, and that tablet isn't an ipad or wacom, what do you draw on?

I've had my ipad and apple pencil for almost 6 years now, and it works fine, but eventually, it will stop getting security updates and/or will break, and I will need to get something else. What do you use to draw? I don't want to buy more apple products, so I'm looking for something android or linux based with a good stylus (or even just a tablet you recommend and a stylus you recommend for that tablet).

I prefer to draw on the screen directly, so I'm not interested in a drawing pad that doesn't have a screen. It'd be great if the drawing pad didn't require a computer, but it's ok if it requires a phone. :boost_ok:
