I am a big Star Trek fan & I recently bought the Blue Brixx Enterprise E to finally have a big ship in my collection. However so to the amount of work that falls onto the poos delivery drivers at this time of the year (I am honestly feel bad that in ordered something but the alternative would have been a 30 dollar ticket, a day trip and a shot into the blue to visit the next shop) she hasn't arrived yet.

Earlier 2024 I ordered some bricks online on eBay to resurrect a Starship I build ~25 years ago, I also dusted of the remaining Lego bricks from my & my brother's childhood. Because I couldn't wait to finally build a Starship again started a scratch build. My idea was a Mass Effect Normandy like ship or the Jem Hadar Attack fighter from Star Trek DS9 both didn't worked out so after 40 hours of tinkering I present you the Bela Legosi (wordplay to the Actor Bela Lugosi & the ships lego heritage).

The Bela Legosi, a 5 color Lego ship of my own design created by slamming bricks into each other and reworking it over and over again. The Ships grey & orange half round saucer section Points to the left, the big white, red & black nacelles to the right. The ship is mounted on a cheapish looking stand if my own design. I worked with a lot rest Lego sets and leftovers but I managed to limit myself to bricks in 4 colors. The orange stems from the special pieces which make the rounded saucer which are grey but printed with black and orange patterns
The Bela Legosi viewed from above, the Saucer points down to the right corner, the 2 Nacelles point to the left upper corner, they are tilted upwards and mounted behind the hull section, which directly joins behind the Saucer.
Frontal view of the Bella Legosi, the silhouette is reminiscent of the USS Voyager from Star Trek Voyager or the USS Equinox from a two parter of the same serieshere it's unmistakenly visible that the two Nacelles are mounted upwards in an almost 45° angle in comparison to the rest of the ship.

That’s a lot of Trek! I have watched it all as it came out with the exception of a few episodes in 1966 before the neighbour kid pushed me to try it in TOS season one. So, I am always impressed by younger newcomers who systematically binge to catch up.

I’d like to recommend however that you give ‘The Ark’ a try if you haven’t been already. Its second season finale just ran on Syfy US last week, and will be on Peacock as of this week. ‘The Ark’ is a Dean Devlin creation that appeals to a lot of Star Trek, Stargate and classic sci-fi television fans. Like 90s Star Trek, it’s getting better as it goes on. Hopefully, it will be renewed for more seasons.

Outside the US, it’s available in many countries but across a diversity of services. Check out the hashtags below to see if you might have it.

I am in the process of setting up a new group chat bot account for ‘The Ark’ that interested people in the fediverse will be able to follow.
