You can see a narrow alleyway with bamboo walls on the sides. There is rubble, dirt and garbage on the ground. At the end of the corridor walks a young woman in a short white dress and with bare feet. A quick glance down this corridor, an unsettling feeling, a story in my head... A typical picture by the famous Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama.
Info: Daidō Moriyama (born 1938 in Ikeda, Osaka) is one of the most important Japanese photographers of the second half of the 20th century.
Daido Moriyama has made the city his muse. He documented the cultural change, the urban chaos, the abysses and undergrounds in his very own expressive style.

Been contemplating what little digital compact to get so that I can be a little more Daido Moriyama and make more "snapshots". i.e. Taking pictures of the things that catch my eye.

No cheating, can you guess what I plumped for?

Colour digital photograph looking up at large shop window and surround smooth beige coloured walls. The window frame is dark and merges with the bare branches of a tree that spider across the top half of the image. The branches are silouetted against a blue and wispy clouded sky.
