I'm grateful that the bike lane action today got decent media coverage but I need to point out that there was a pro Palestine demonstration today at Sankova Square (Yonge-Dundas). In opposition to Israel's horrifying killing of hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza during a supposed ceasefire.

I haven't seen any coverage of that rally and the silence is deafening.

This isn't #Israel - #Gaza war... It never been. This is decades of murder, displacements, occupations, tortures, humiliation and ultimately #Genocide backed up by #USA.

L’état français mis en demeure pour son rôle dans le génocide à Gaza

L’Association JURDI (Juristes pour le Respect du Droit International), dont le conseil scientifique compte d’éminents membres comme le Professeur Alain Pellet et Patrick Zahnd, vient d’adresser une mise en demeure à l’Etat Français pour qu’il prenne des mesures concrètes « visant à prévenir la commission du crime de génocide par l’Etat d’Israël dans le territoire palestinien occupé de la Bande de Gaza ».

La France a l’obligation, conformément à la Convention de 1948 sur la prévention et la répression de génocide, et aux ordonnances de la Cour de Justice Internationale rendues en 2024, de prendre toutes les mesures, aussi bien auprès des acteurs publics que privés, destinées à prévenir le crime de génocide.
