Transplanted some of my #BokChoy & purple #tomatillo plants into larger pots. These starters are all being picked up this weekend by a few of my regular plant buyers here. There's some folks who get plants from me, every year
From last Summer. At the BC Government House Music on the Lawns outdoor concert series.
With #Celtic #Scottish #musicians #friends in our local #Cookeilidh ( Cook - Kay - Lee ) band.
Cookeilidh has been delighting audiences for over 15 years with their high energy traditional, and modernized Celtic tunes. Comprised of 12-string guitar, electric bass, Irish flute, fiddle, bodhran, and vocals, they weave their own special blend of Trad with Attitude, Celtic Craic, and Pot O' Gold Folk!
Mixing the tunes of #Ireland and #Scotland, with a heaping spoonful of #Maritime flavour, and a dash of #Folk is their recipe for a modern day kitchen party!
Members and Instruments:
Dave Cook: Acoustic 12 String Guitar & Vocals
Woody Wilson: Irish Wooden Flute, Bodhran, & Bones
Tom Pogson: Electric Bass, Acoustic Bass & Vocals
Kim Cook: Fiddle, Percussion
Have a few seconds of a tiny creek and waterfall in PKOLS (Mt Doug Park).
#SilentSunday - early because I'm working tomorrow.
One of my 2 outdoor, covered, growing stations / #botanical babies nursery.
I just got excellent news. Our local #AbleSail Victoria program is opening up earlier this year! Our North Saanich Sidney location opens up for registrations in April. Our Oak Bay/Cadboro Bay location will open for registrations in mid-June. I'm so excited to get back on the ocean again & work on improving my #AdaptiveSailing skills.
I'd love to get my solo #sailing skills up to levels where I can enter to compete in future Mobility Cup regattas.
Here, there, everywhere, across #YYJ - so many loud road/building construction noises.
I forgot my earplugs at home today.

There is a new article up on Sidewalking Victoria today. This time I am looking at the benefits of brick sidewalks over concrete ones. Have a read and let me know what your thoughts are on it!

If you're in the #Saanich / #VictoriaBC / #YYJ area - I'm putting this mint condition #hardcover #Batman #comic #book into my little free library this weekend. It's on Kamloops Ave. Look for the dinosaurs atop the LFL roof - it's also plastered in environmental & social justice/anti-fascist stickers.
Some of my past #PromoWork in #VictoriaBC.
From pro sports events to grassroots nonprofit for kids/teens to motorcycles store to grassroots climate action campaign.
2013-2014 around #YYJ.
Not much in the way of spring mushrooms in my area but I did spot a couple showy Lichenomphalia and a shy pixie cup in the background. #fungi #mushtodon #yyj #victoriabc
#Throwback to being cast as a high school student for a medical science film from an older PhD student at UVIC, 2 weeks after my 40th birthday in 2015. All the actual minor kids cast as students were bigger than me
2016. After wrapping the last shoot on Ollie & Emma #TelusOptik #webseries #FilmProduction at the Village Foods grocery store in #Sooke.
Me & the lighting crew were the last ones to clock out. I was always the last crew to leave sets because I was also the locations manager. We goofed around with wigs & accessories props from my costumes tickle trunk. I provided several props for the production filming from my own personal collections.
I was on contract with Less Bland Productions in #VictoriaBC at the time.
