Steph (they/them)absolutely died laughing when Solas betrayed me to trap me in his prison, apologised profusely when I got out, told me he'd work with me, then immediately betrayed me AGAIN via lying by omissionI don't know what it says about me that I was never fussed about romancing him in Inquisition but if I'd been given the option in <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Veilguard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Veilguard</a> I would have been ALL OVER that bald bastardnothing good, probably!

Steph (they/them)managed to drag myself onto my PC to finish <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Veilguard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Veilguard</a> andBIOWAAAAAAAAAREWHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN VARRIC WAS DEAD THE WHOLE TIMEAAAAAAAAAAA also I guess Davrin died, which is sad, but I saved everyone else and got the Good Solas ending PLUS the secret ending, first time! I think at least one companion always dies, so my streak of first-time-best-endings on blind playthroughs of RPGs continues unbroken.

Yes Inquisition has some great story beats, scenes, and characters. But it also has a _lot_ of boring filler, which tends to be forgotten in all the nostalgia. And the combat in Veilguard is a lot more fun, too - yeeting enemies off ledges never gets old.Both are great games in their own way, but they also have flaws - different flaws, but flaws nonetheless.
