The six warnings span #VancouverIsland, where they will be in effect from Friday until early next week, and the North Coast including #Kitimat and #Terrace, where the warnings will be in place from Saturday until Tuesday night.

Environment Canada says temperatures on the island are expected to reach the low 30s with night-time lows about 16 C while the North Coast is being told to expect temperatures near 30 C” (2/2)

So, whilst working on the roofing project, removing water damaged plywood, the chimney tilted. 4 inches every 4 feet, when measured, but it may of already been tilting due to water damaged underflooring. Aim: It would have fallen on the master bedroom toward the spouse's side of the bed. We are hurriedly fixing, using a jack, hoisting off a metal stairway with rope, and building new support joists underneath.

"May you live in interesting times...."

The perspective in the photo is slightly adjusted and the camera wasn't perfectly level. But the chimney is now aligned properly.

Terrace done. Already in use, too.

Been fun, although my back and knees have been aching at times.

Not bad for a first timer, I think. Hope they like it and the company installing the wheelchair ramp don't make a mess of things. They have certain norms that make the ramp absolutely ginourmous - 7m plus a platform, longer than the entire terrace.

Terrace build progress.

Stairs are hard! At least they are if you want them level, sturdy and built on uneven stone flooring. And changing from ramp to stairs after the planning was done didn't help.

There was also a change to the gaps between fence planks, so now it looks less nice and is more drafty than intended. Difficult clients aren't just for software devs!

Terrace, finished side. Planks with small gaps are covering the framing. The bottom ones are cut at an angle to match the sloping stone tiles. The fencing has wider gaps between planks and rises up at one corner to a double height section. There is a gap at the deck level to push snow off in winter. An old lady in a wheel chair sits on the terrace, reading. A section of the fence is open, this is where a wheelchair ramp will be built by a healthcare supplier. Some tools are bits of timber are strewn around.
