General reminder that the term "cisgender" originates from psychology papers decades ago, and was meant to be a simple way to talk about people who would not be described as transgender. Space Karen is calling it a slur because he's upset that his kid transitioned from male to female and isn't interested in furthering the cause of eugenics. The point of attempting to censor it is to prevent people from having language to easily talk about gender, and how we understand it to be complicated and nebulous from a psychological perspective.
Cisgender is not a slur, it is a scientific term for a politically inconvenient concept.
Neither are it's shortenings, like "cis", or the descriptor "cishet", which we use to describe people who are not queer.
As a #moderator, if I see someone claiming that #cisgender is a #slur, you can expect me to raise a very serious brow at the very least.
