Waterscape Harmony
I find this image of the Gulf of Mexico, as seen from the beach at Gulfport, Mississippi, to be relaxing. The original photo was so overexposed that it appeared almost entirely white, save for the timber pile and the pelican positioned in the center of the frame. I worked to recover as much detail, and this was the best result I could achieve. One detail that piqued my curiosity is the structure visible on the left, near or at the horizon. It resembles an oil platform, which intrigues me because it’s something I couldn’t discern with my naked eyes while on the beach. It seems that the overexposure unintentionally revealed objects farther out that were otherwise imperceptible.
The photographs I share here don’t appear as vivid as they do in my Pixel’s gallery. This is because I reduce their size and slightly lower their quality to make them quicker and easier to load. Feel free to take a look:
