We're battening down for a tropical cyclone - the southern hemisphere's version of a hurricane. Tropical Cyclone Alfred is set to run over us tomorrow night, bringing destructive winds and three months' rain in one day.

But now there's a nervous wait - and an eerie quiet at times.

Stressful times, but while we have electricity we have music.

I found this little Cape Burrowing Scorpion this morning, clinging to the side of my garden pond. I think it must have fallen in and gotten chilled, and wasn't strong enough to climb the rest of the way.
It's so pale, I thought at first that it was just a cast-off skin of a scorpion, but no, it was the whole creature.
I helped it out, and after a bit of a rest to warm up, it crawled away.
I've made some shallow areas in the pond, and rock stairs so small creatures can get out if they fall in, but it's difficult to do with this particular pond - it's a hard plastic with vertical sides.

@BlumeEvolution Ich sag nur als Beispiel "Wind of Change" der , wenn man über die Macht der Musik und die Hoffnung dahinter spricht. Ein Lied, dass immer noch das Gefühl vermittelt, von einer besseren Zeit zu erzählen. Und das erschreckend global.

Und heute im erst wieder zu sehen bekommen, dass Kunst und Musik uns wahrscheinlich schon lange vor dem Homo Sapiens genauso im Leben begleitet haben wie heute.

🎸 Um ihr 60. Gründungsjubiläum zu feiern, drehen die Scorpions noch einmal das ganz große Rad: Am 5. Juli 2025 wird die Band im Fußballstadion von Hannover 96 auftreten.

🎤 Die Scorpions sind wohl die international erfolgreichste Band, die je aus Hannover hervorgegangen ist. Weltweit sind sie auf den Bühnen unterwegs. Ein Stadionkonzert in ihrer Heimatstadt Hannover fehlte aber bislang noch in ihrer Vita.
