#Bukele #Salvador #dictature #sécurité #arte Facebook : facebook.com/artetv Twitter :…

On this day, 51 years ago, the first elected, truely democratic Chilean president Dr. #Salvador #Allende was murdered - by the reactionary military and with huge support from capitalists and the #CIA. What followed was one of the most wretched military dictatorships and a blood bath, so whoever mentions "bringing democracy and freedom" - just stfu.

Never forgive - never forget.

Oliver Stone's Salvador fucking rocks! Great movie... One of the best portrayals and examinations of how the US establishes its cycle of colonial abuse and justifies it while simultaneously wrecking its own domestic policy. Man... gotta love films with a heathy amount of subversion and nuance.

The title proved to be an amazing choice, too... depicting the main character as a "white savior".
