My first #PC was a 486 machine with two #floppy drives. A: was the little-used 5¼ DSHD drive, and B: was the 3½ HD drive that saw the vast majority of use.

I only learned decades later that this was the opposite of the usual setup, in which A: is the 3½ drive.

Last time I bought a Desktop PC component was the Radeon R290 at launch.

Since then I have traded laptops, tablets and consoles like a madman.

I wonder how the Desktop PC market will perform in the next years. Pandemic was a huge boost, but eventually it will contract again because the value proposition has not lowered as expected.

My mum is a #butch #lesbian. I am #trans. Gaming, skateboarding, driving and repairing cars are all things I learned from my mum.

Her Gaming #pc died a few days ago. Shortly after her 60th birthday.

So I have to build a new one.

Yesterday I planned the components with her.

She insisted on getting a case with a window and fans with LED's.

She even got a happy squeaky voice imaging it.

My butch mum with a deeper voice than me....
