If you aren't in Canada, you might not be aware that many Canadians are choosing to boycott, or at least trying to avoid American products in response to Trump's threat of tariffs or even "economic pressure" for the nation to lose its sovereignty.
Even as an immigrant here, I very much understand this. Whether or not this will change Trump's mind, it's an act of solidarity.
This brings us to the "Ketchup Wars". I was unaware of the Ketchup Wars until a few months ago. This excellent video taught me about it, but I'll summarize and bring you up to speed on the latest controversy.

Heinz had a ketchup producing/bottling plant in Leamington, Ontario for >100 years (opened in 1869). That plant also worked with nearby suppliers, such as farmers, to create a thriving multi-generational middle class in the town, but that ended in 2014 when Warren Buffet's company, Berkshire Hathaway bought a majority stake in the company.
