Vibrant tulip field stretches across the landscape in Mount Vernon, Washington, a.k.a. Tulip Town, this specific farm is also part of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in the entire month of April, north of Seattle, being the second largest in USA. There're many varieties, so we can enjoy peak bloom for almost a month long.
This is an early morning capture with farm workers tending the rows under a dramatic sky. Sunbeams pierce through the clouds, casting light on the vibrant scenery and the distant Cascades Mountains.

A5 size on textured watercolour paper with Van Dieman's Night Sky ink.

The 'C' is bigger and fancy, and some of the letters have extended swirling ascenders and descenders. From this angle, the ink looks black-purple.
