No, hold on, it is a person. They'll catch their death out there! It's so cold. Wait, those "Missing" posters around the neighbourhood for that kid - What if it's him? You have to go out and check. God, it's been days, he might be hurt! You walk briskly towards the street lamp. The air is freezing. You get closer "Hey! Are you okay?" "Hello! Do you need any help?". The figure turns towards you. Your blood runs colder than the air around you. It stares. It's not the missing kid. It's the reason he is missing. Oh God. How fast can you run? How fast can it run?

After a horrendous couple of months at work I finally have a day off. Have been looking forward to it all week, planning the perfect day-long hike, getting excited about starting another thru hike I can do in stages. Unfortunately yesterday I got a sore throat and today it has developed into a nasty cold so instead I will be forced to spend today in bed and on the couch. I’m very grumpy right now.
