This one is an ambient track, no percussions or drums whatsoever. But a bunch of textures and layers. The only samples i used for this track, but technically that is not 100% correct: First, the cymbals on the 909 are samples. Roland couldnt get realistic cymbal sounds out of analog circuits (808 cymbals, anyone? As an aside, check out <a href="https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/125044847/tr_808_cymbal_a_physically_informed_circuit_bendable_digital.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank">https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/125044847/tr_808_cymbal_a_physically_informed_circuit_bendable_digital.pdf</a>) so they used samples. Francois DionOne particularly weird “instrument” that is used on that <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#music</a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/track" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#track</a> is technically a guitar pedal, the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/adrenalinn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#adrenalinn</a> by Roger Linn (of Linn Drum fame). It is primarily an effect pedal, processing the input using a variety of modulations and fx. It has midi in/out and can send start/stop/midi clock (which i used to sync the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/tr606" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#tr606</a> and <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/tb303" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#tb303</a>). But on top of that, it also incorporates a drum machine of sorts.
