Thrasher In A Tangle by Debra Martz
This Long-billed Thrasher seemed to be in a tangle of branches, limbs, and berries! I wondered how on earth it landed among all this. It was happily perched and singing its song of a jumble of tunes.

I am a longterm 
#FirefoxNightly user [i like getting bugfixes & new features early]. Consequently it was many months ago that i first got the early signs of the new #Profile Management paradigm. It's now more sophisticated & robust than before. However, it continues to frustrate me that Firefox Devs remain silent on any guidance for HOW we users can migrate all our old profiles [created via the legacy about:profiles tool] into the new paradigm. Eg, this so-called Help doc should tell us, but does not, so is pretty useless:

Habe gestern abend den Bildschirm des @NDR -Beitrags zum #Feinstaub in #Hamburg fotografiert. Gut sichtbar: Entlang der großen #Straßen ist die Belastung am höchsten: Gesundheitsgefährdend. Die Politik so: Grillenzirpen oder nicht mal das. Fahrverbote? Wenigstens Aufrufe? Nichts.

By "#usable" I mean that you can #browse #profiles (instead of just beeing presented with what the #algorithm thinks you might be interested in, is profile text centred (and not picture centred), #search for #profile #text items, just be able to (send and) receive #messages even if I have not "liked back", ... -- #alovoa actually is pretty #unusable as I find it)

Thanks, ChatGPT, for imagining something I would never have any reason to imagine organically because why should I?
1. If you're going to #report somebody you need to give #examples of what #activity you're reporting. Just #reporting a #profile and telling an #instance #admin that an #account is being "#spammy" doesn't cut it. Not when we can clearly see the user is not.
2. Again, not a very helpful report. You report a user and say they're a #SCAM account but offer up absolutely no #evidence to support your #claim.
3. Every account was new once, including the person that reported this one. As long as #NSFW #content is properly #flagged, there's no issue. Suspecting an account to be a "scam account or worse" is not a valid #reason for reporting an account.
4. Another report without any basis or #justification.
5. Again, another baseless report about somebody with absolutely ZERO evidence to back up their claim.
So here's what's going to happen....
The instances that forwarded these #bogus #reports to me, and wasted my time, each have a strike against them.
Strike three and we tell #Sharkey to #ignore any and all reports coming from the #instance in the future.
No #admin wants #BadActors on their instances, and no admin wants a #BadActor to make someone else feel unwelcome.
But you can't just flag and report an account for any bullshit reason either.
You have to give us proof and evidence.
This is not high school and this is not middle school. If somebody is being disruptive or causing problems, let us know.
But if you just suspect someone might cause problems or they might be disruptive... wait until you have proof and evidence and then let us know!

Ich sehe viele #profile mit enorm vielen hashtags. Sozusagen, der komplette Steckbrief als Hashtagsammlung. Gerade ist eine Dame in meine TL gelangt, die aufgrund Ihrer Vita von Supergenialmutter über Haushaltsgenie bis zur veganen Besonderklimatierschützerin alles Qualitäten aufweist. Wenn sie jetzt noch manchmal die Sportschau toleriert... Ich bin noch unverheiratet ;)

Woke up a bit earlier than usual this morning and while I was waiting on the wife to get home from work, I decided to update my Mastodon profile.
It was a bit short due to being limited from when I was running AllThingsTech.social so I decided to expand it a bit and make it not look so clunky.
Hopefully it helps make it a bit more clear as to the things I like and am interested here within the #Fediverse, especially for the new users who might view my profile and wonder if I'm worthy of a follow.
I even took a bit of inspiration from @alice_watson with regards to how I presented the hashtags!
I must say, I was truly shocked by the huge number of people who responded to my post regarding accessibility and alt text! Thank you so much! I now have a large list of follow requests to sort through, so if I haven't added you yet, please be patient. On Friendica, I usually post interesting links that I find, and sometimes commentary on various things. But to really get to know me, you can read my journal on Dreamwidth. You can also comment there, whether or not you are a member of the site. As here, please feel free to read my profile, or at least, the About Me post. There is also a pinned post containing links to things that I consider to be important and/or interesting that you can peruse or ignore as you wish.
Entries may consist of anything from short summaries of my day, to full essays on various topics, to reviews of products (for fun, not pay), to random thoughts. I sometimes post quotes and links to interesting things that I find, along with my own commentary related to them. Topics can range from food, to fun surveys, to history, to dandyism, to antique menswear, to various aspects of high culture, to what I am seeking in a partner, and more. However, I try to avoid politics and modern celebrities, since I have no interest in them. I wish to keep my journal light and happy, though if I feel that I must discuss something serious and/or important, I will do so. My journal is public, but When I write adult-oriented posts, I always put them behind a cut and age restrict them. Note that they do not contain any graphic images, though I do post about reputable sites which sell toys, as a user, not a seller.
