Good to see Christophe Fouquet speak up about #ASML being squeezed between US tariffs and US-imposed export ban of EUV to China.

Europe must “decide for itself what it wants” and “should not be dictated to by anyone else”. He would like the continent’s officials to support their world-leading companies more forcefully.

#ASML ist derzeit der einzig relevante Hersteller von EUV-Lithographiesystemen. Diese Maschinen wiederum bestehen zum überwiegenden Teil aus Komponenten, die ebenfalls aus der EU oder der Schweiz stammen. Der Technologie-Vorsprung auf kritische Optik-Komponenten (u.a. von #CarlZeissSMT)...

I don't attack #ASML because I'm a sore loser. I attack ASML because they most definitely played a key role in what is now long-term 8-year arbitrary abuse.

So, now we essentially also know that OTR was indeed a key factor in this.

@thetnholler.bsky.social Mayby the #dutch government can raise export tariffs on #asml chipsmachines. #usa #china netherlands. If import tarrifs benefiet the government of the income goods then export will do the opposite. Make it fore americans very expensive to buys these.
