Horrific day today, so I took the day off and went on a hike with my good boi pup. Saw this Thalia dealbata with beautiful zig zag shaped panicles and flowers in the most royal purple. A salve for the ills that weigh upon me.

Shows a monocot parallel leaf venation on a gigantic leaf. The lanceolate leaf is 15-20 inches in length, tapering at the tip. It is covered in a fine white cuticular wax, for which the species epithet was named.
